Dan King and Karen Carpenter

Just now, Dan and Wes were discussing chicken eggs. Yes, deep thought discussions to be sure. The questions... "Are all eggs fertilized?" and "How are they fertilized?".

So, old man Duke has to explain the birds to Dan. But it is not enough, I have to find the proof on the web. Here it is...

The other bit of my travels toward insanity I want to mention is my brain's knack for putting songtracks into my consciousness to the point I keep hearing the same bits over and over and over like a looping audio clip. I just don't internalize the words, oh no. I have to get the music and background vocals too.

I've used this to my advantage, since the last song I hear in a commute may stick around all day. Just don't pick a song like...

Last night, it was Karen Carperter singing, "Merry Christmas, Darling". Very painful, expecially after the 20th time!

I've thought about making a recurring blog feature "Song in my head". They are all over the spectrum. It could be interesting to document. Maybe supply a report to the hospital when I finally crack. Hmmm...

I sometimes wake up with random songs in my head, sometimes of songs that play in my car, others I have no idea where they come from. Luckily I get distracted enough so they don't remain in my head all day.

Wait a minute there, buster! WHEN you finally crack? Are you in complete denial? I think the dirty deed was done long ago, my friend... LONG ago!
