A Bean to Grind
Face it. We all have pet peeves. Much as we may try not, we all do.
I felt one of mine this morning. The peeve? When a new bag of coffee beans is opened and only enough beans are gound to make 1 or 2 pots.
Then comes the morning when I am told it's my turn to make the coffee. I have to rise from a comatose state, only to find I have to experience the pleasant serenade of the bean grinder.
Of course, it can't end there! I have to take control! In my stupor, I will grind every last bean in the bag before starting the first pot. I make sure to grind them extra long and with emphasis on the louder startup of the grinder's motor.
Hey, anything to help Pam get up and enjoy the day as well!

You do realize, of course, that the best tasting pot of coffee results from beans which are freshly ground immediately prior to the brewing process. Therefore, your wife is actually doing you a favor by only grinding the amount of beans necessary for the pot that you are about to enjoy whenever said bag of beans is opened.
Cherish the thoughfulness that she's bestowing upon you, sire!
